Where did you get the name “Millpond Brewing and Incubator”?
The town of Millstadt has strong roots as a farming and milling community. At one time the town boasted three mills, and in a rare arrangement, these three mills shared the same millpond. In communities such as Millstadt, the millpond was a place for fun. In the summertime residents of the community would swim, fish, have picnics, and hold family gatherings at the millpond. In the wintertime they would skate on the frozen water and sled on its banks. Millponds became the first, defacto, city parks. Incubator – this portion pays homage to our homebrewing roots, and allows the community of strong homebrewers in the area to showcase their talents to their peers
Will you have food?
We hope to offer food soon through Millpond by leasing a space to a well-established, much-loved restaurant. In the meantime, you can order and bring in food, including food from any of Millstadt’s local establishments (Ott’s, Mariachi’s, Breadeaux, Papa Vitos, Smokin K’s, sorry if we missed anyone) and we will have food trucks on select days until the food service through the brewery is ready.
Do you have a private party space?
We are ironing out the details, but we do have a private party space and patio that is available. Please email info@millpondbrewing.com for information. At this time the space can accommodate up to 30 individuals.
How do I sign up to brew my recipe at Millpond Brewing and Incubator?
We are working on a formal application. In the meantime, please email us. In your email please give us your brewing history as well as the style of beer you would be interested in brewing. No need to provide us with a recipe at this time.
